Using our expertise in modern methods of construction, we helped bring this high profile regeneration project to fruition, providing commercial, retail, residential, leisure and industrial buildings in the heart of Camden. We were involved with this prestigious scheme from the conceptual and master planning stage; and have been able to contribute valuable local knowledge to the team, working closely with the architects, contractor and the client. The most challenging building in this exciting project was the new Camden Canal Market which overlooks Regent’s Canal. We proposed an efficient frame using post-tensioned slabs to achieve a typical 3m cantilevered slab edge. Due to the location and layout of the site we have needed to liaise with and satisfy a number of 3rd parties including Network Rail, National Grid and The Canals and Rivers Trust. By remaining flexible and responsive at all times we have been able to help the client to achieve the architectural aspirations within the very tight site constraints presented.
Consequently the development has won numerous awards including:
