This £60m 249 home development on a 1.2 acre plot in Greenwich features a 23 and 10-storey block including a nursery and rooftop gardens. This is the first modular build to rent scheme in London, and is one of the tallest residential buildings anywhere to use modular construction methods. The buildings were originally schemed as post-tensioned flat slabs however during value engineering exercise a modular system was found to be preferable. We collaborated closely with the module supplier to ensure all of the differential movements could be accommodated with the concrete and modular interfaces. The creek itself is used to discharge storm water from the site, & we designed the river wall improvement works to incorporate increased flood defenses and inter-tidal terraces.
